On the evening of Monday 27 July - World Head and Neck Cancer Day - we launched the Aotearoa HPV-related Cancer Prevention Roadmap: Achieving 90% Vaccination Coverage by 2030.

Hosted at Parliament by the Hon. Simeon Brown, Minister of Health, we brought together political leaders, health leaders, clinicians, researchers, community health providers and advocates, and people with lived experience, to mark a united call for action to prevent HPV-related cancers through a concerted, goal-driven vaccination programme across Aotearoa. 

Our Roadmap sets out a coordinated pathway to achieve 90% HPV vaccination coverage of all young people in Aotearoa by 2030, with the goal of preventing future HPV-related cancers, reducing health inequities, and positioning Aotearoa New Zealand as a global leader in cancer prevention.
